Image Boats Ltd has fast become a strong leader in the alloy boat industry.  Over the last 10 years of trading we have carved a huge niche in the aluminium boat market.  Our standard range starts from a 5.8m cuddy to a 10.5m Fishmaster.  All sizing can be tailored to suit client’s individual tastes and requirements.

Image Boats owner, Dean Wilkes, is a Sheetmetal Engineer by trade having completed his 4 year Apprenticeship in Invercargill.  He started his boat building career on a working holiday in Australia working on a giant catamaran in Perth 25 years ago before returning home to continue in this field.  After gaining experience building ferries, 30-60 foot fishing boats, pontoon boats and other commercial craft, Dean formed his own company, Image Boats Ltd, 10 years ago.  Image Boats Ltd is Invercargill based and employs 7 personnel.  They are fast approaching a milestone as the final touches go on their 100th boat to be released in August 2010.

Image Boats Ltd believe they create a special relationship working with the client and family from start to finish to construct an individual boat, whether for recreational or commercial use.  This is definitely a huge advantage in a market of standard design.  Also, having an Auto Electrician, Upholsterer and Mechanic on staff means that they can offer a complete package under one roof.  Since moving their factory to their retail premises they can also provide clients with any accessories required to complete their dream purchase.  This includes Furuno & Lowrance Fishfinders, eperbs, water skis, Marine charts fishing gear and anchors.  They also fill dive bottles and stock a large range of dive gear and our onsite Mechanic can issue Warrants of Fitness for both Cars & trailers.  Image Boats Ltd also build trailers so you can transport your brand new boat to its new home or, waste no time, and get her straight on the water!
